Overview

SchemaGrove respects your privacy and collects only the information reasonably necessary to sell, license, deliver, update, secure, and support its products. We also use Google Analytics to understand general website traffic and improve the website.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not disclose it to data brokers, use it for targeted advertising, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

This Privacy Policy applies to schemagrove.com, the SchemaGrove online store, customer accounts, product licensing and updates, and communications with our support team.

Information We Collect

Account and purchase information

When you create an account, purchase SchemaGrove Pro, manage a subscription, download a product, or request a refund, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your username and securely hashed account password
  • Billing and contact details provided during checkout
  • Products and plans purchased
  • Order, subscription, renewal, refund, and download records
  • License status and account history
  • Communications relating to your purchase or account

Our website may also record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and request time for checkout operation, account security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.

Payment information

Payments are securely processed by Square. Square receives the payment information necessary to complete the transaction. SchemaGrove does not receive or store your complete payment-card number or card security code.

We may receive limited transaction information from Square, such as a transaction identifier, payment method, payment status, renewal status, and refund information. Square handles customer information according to its Privacy Notice for Square customers.

Product licensing and updates

When SchemaGrove Pro is activated or checks for an update, the customer’s WordPress website may send limited information needed to verify and manage the license, including:

  • The license or order key
  • A generated installation identifier
  • The website address associated with the activation
  • The installed product and version
  • The WordPress environment type
  • Activation, deactivation, and license-status information
  • Limited technical request information needed for security and abuse prevention

This information is used only to confirm that the license is valid, enforce the purchased site limit, provide authorized product downloads and updates, and protect the licensing service from misuse.

The licensing service does not automatically receive schema graphs, configured schema values, page content, WordPress passwords, OpenAI API keys, Google credentials, or customer information stored on the licensed WordPress website.

Contact and support information

If you contact SchemaGrove or submit a support request, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, ticket history, and any files you attach.

Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, raw API keys, database exports, or other unnecessary sensitive information through email or support forms.

Website Analytics

SchemaGrove uses Google Analytics to understand general website traffic. This helps us see information such as:

  • The number of visitors and sessions
  • Pages visited
  • General referral sources
  • Approximate geographic area
  • Browser, device, and operating-system information
  • General interactions with the website

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions. According to Google, its standard implementation collects user and session statistics, approximate location, and browser and device information. Learn more about Google Analytics data collection.

SchemaGrove does not intentionally send customer names, email addresses, payment details, license keys, support messages, or schema content to Google Analytics. We do not use Google Analytics for targeted advertising.

You can learn more about Google’s practices in its Analytics privacy documentation.

Cookies

The website uses essential WordPress and WooCommerce cookies to provide functions such as:

  • Account authentication
  • Shopping-cart and checkout operation
  • Customer sessions
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Protected downloads

These cookies are necessary for the store and customer-account features to work correctly.

Google Analytics may also use cookies to measure general website traffic and distinguish visits. You may block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may prevent account, checkout, or download features from working properly.

How We Use Information

SchemaGrove uses personal information only when reasonably necessary to:

  • Create and secure customer accounts
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, and refunds
  • Deliver purchased products and protected downloads
  • Issue, activate, validate, and deactivate licenses
  • Provide product updates
  • Enforce purchased site limits
  • Respond to contact and support requests
  • Send important account, order, subscription, and licensing communications
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Troubleshoot and improve the reliability of our services
  • Understand general website traffic
  • Maintain required accounting, tax, and legal records
  • Comply with applicable laws

Where applicable, we process information to fulfill our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, operate and secure our services, or based on your consent.

How Information Is Disclosed

SchemaGrove does not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party marketing or targeted advertising.

Limited information may be processed by service providers when necessary to operate SchemaGrove, including:

  • Square and participating financial institutions for payment processing
  • Website hosting, backup, security, and email providers
  • Google Analytics for general website traffic measurement
  • Professional advisers when reasonably necessary
  • Government authorities when disclosure is legally required

These operational disclosures allow us to provide the service you requested. They are not sales of personal information.

Information Stored by the SchemaGrove Plugin

SchemaGrove Lite and Pro primarily store schema settings and generated schema on the customer’s own WordPress website. The owner of that website is responsible for information collected through their site and for providing any privacy disclosures required for the features they enable.

Optional integrations enabled by a customer may communicate directly with their selected third-party provider. Installing SchemaGrove does not automatically send page content or schema data to those services or to the SchemaGrove licensing service.

Data Retention

We retain account, order, licensing, and support information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Maintain an active account, subscription, or license
  • Provide downloads, updates, and support
  • Maintain transaction, accounting, and tax records
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Resolve disputes
  • Meet legal obligations

Some purchase and transaction records may need to be retained after an account is closed when required for financial, tax, security, or legal purposes. Google Analytics information is retained according to the retention settings configured for our Analytics account.

When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted or anonymized.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, request a portable copy of your information, withdraw consent, or complain to the appropriate privacy regulator.

To submit a privacy request, email support@schemagrove.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. Certain information may be retained when required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or other legal purposes.

Because SchemaGrove does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising program from which customers need to opt out.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we process. These safeguards include HTTPS encryption, account-access controls, payment tokenization, restricted administrative access, authenticated product downloads, and protected licensing credentials.

No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers are responsible for protecting their account credentials, WordPress installations, license keys, and backups.

Children’s Privacy

SchemaGrove is intended for adults and businesses and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through customer accounts or product purchases.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to SchemaGrove, please contact us so that we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. Any revised version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

We will not begin selling or using personal information for targeted advertising without updating this policy and providing any notices or choices required by law.
